One of the many things that make FAL a great place to work is our company culture. FAL’s culture is one that promotes growth both personally and professionally. FAL allows flexible work weeks, remote working capabilities, meals are provided during tax seasons, employment benefits are available immediately, employees receive anniversary gifts, and the office is closed the week between Christmas and New Year’s, to name a few of our awesome benefits.
You are treated like an individual at FAL, not a number. From the interview process through employment, specific tools are utilized to help gain an understanding of you as an individual. This understanding facilitates a better relationship with co-workers, thus creating a harmonious working environment for everyone.
Another perk of working for FAL is the open door policy. When you have questions, you ask and you know that everyone works together and are here to help find an answer. We work as a team in a collaborative, rewarding environment.
Even though FAL is an accounting firm, we try to keep things fun around the office, hosting happy hours, potlucks, catered lunches and contests to encourage participation, team building and time away from the computer screen.
FAL embraces innovation and technology in a few ways. The firm has a dedicated IT company that services our needs. The firm contracts with CCH ProSystems, a Wolters Kluwer company, for our software. This includes updates on all tax and audit software to keep current with any new rules and regulations. We utilize webinars and online training from Wolters Kluwer, Thomson Reuters and AICPA, among others, to enable our staff to stay up-to-date of the most current practices and have access to research modules.
FAL gives back to the community in several ways. All staff is encouraged to get involved in the community or with a worthy cause. Two of our Partners are board members of Opportunity Village. FAL further supports this organization by utilizing their recycling program, fully staffed by OV residents.
Another partner is a board member with “I have a Dream Foundation”, a foundation whose vision is that every child, no matter how disadvantaged, has the opportunity, support and resources needed to succeed in school and pursue their dreams of higher education and economic independence.
If this involvement requires the employee to be away from the office for a day or two, they do not have to utilize personal time off and still get paid. Yet another awesome perk when you work at FAL.
As a company, we have also participated in the Santa Run, The Color Run and have served food at Shade Tree.
FAL truly is a great place to work and we are honored to be a recipient of the Business Excellence Awards.
