Kyle Bybee, CPA
Managing Partner
Kyle Bybee joined the FAL team in June of 2019. He has been in the accounting industry, both public and private, for 12 years in Washington DC, Dallas, Salt Lake City and Las Vegas. Originally with a Big 4 accounting firm, he moved to a private family office for several years before joining FAL.

Curt Anderson, CPA
Founding Partner
Curt co-founded Fair, Anderson & Langerman in 1988 after a 13-year career with a national accounting firm in Los Angeles in which he was a partner and member of the firm's board of directors.

Ronnie Sloan
Partner | President
Ronnie is the first, non-CPA partner at FAL. Her management and keen business instincts have helped steer the firm to success particularly during the recession of 2008.
Recognized for her outstanding leadership abilities, Ronnie has been integral in the firm’s expansion as well as the establishment of FAL’s corporate culture and high rate of staff retention.
Robert Henn, CPA
Managing Partner
Robert joined FAL in 2017 and is a Partner at the firm specializing in complex tax and business strategy. He has experience in a variety of industries including hospitality and manufacturing with a particular focus on real estate and construction.
Randi Bailey
Managing Partner
Since beginning work at FAL in 2015, Randi has been instrumental in refining the firm's internal procedures for efficiency, consistency and excellence. Her natural aptitude to apply order and promote follow-through has allowed the firm to absorb growth of 25% over the past two years without overdriving our systems and people.
Meghan McLean
Managing Partner
Meghan McLean is a Las Vegas marketing veteran and entrepreneur. Much of her experience is rooted in professional services, from local to international markets, and includes a start-up providing interventions for Las Vegas’ special needs community.
Shamiso Machingaidze, CPA
Client Service Director
Shamiso began her career in public accounting with a big 4 firm and worked internationally for years prior to moving to the US. Originally from Zimbabwe, she graduated with honors from the University of South Africa with her bachelor’s in accounting. Shamiso is a chartered accountant and CPA with a focus in audit and attestation work. She loves the variety of industries and businesses she’s exposed to in public accounting. Shamiso is married and has four beautiful children.

Astrid Alvarez, CPA
Supervisor
With more than twenty years of accounting experience, Astrid enjoys helping entrepreneurs focus on running their business by giving them peace of mind when it comes to their company’s accounting.
In her free time, you can find her enjoying time with her toddler and two corgis and if she’s lucky, binge watching Netflix! Astrid is also a huge fan of puzzles, currently on level 3800 of Candy Crush,
Laura Bailey
Operations and Client Service Administrator
Within Laura’s role, she assembles tax returns for final review and assists clients by providing them with copies of tax documents. She also oversees the filing and archiving of all client documentation. She has become a vital part of the operations of FAL and is always offering time-saving, efficient initiatives to the firm.
She was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs and moved to Vegas in the 90’s. She is passionate about her three children, as well as baking delicious treats for the office.
Cecilia Ayala
Manager
Cecilia has been with FAL since 2020 and enjoys the varied and challenging work offered in the public accounting world.
Experienced in a variety of industries including non-profit and government, Cecilia’s primary focus is tax preparation and planning.
Cecilia is passionate about her family and views motherhood as her most important accomplishment.
Kyle Bailey
Executive Assistant
Since working in massage therapy and marketing, Kyle has transitioned into the operational side of public accounting.
He joined FAL in 2017 and has helped the operational side of FAL in a multitude of ways. Aside from his assistance to one of the firm partners, Kyle works with clients on requesting necessary documentation, scanning documents and assembling tax returns. He is passionate about his wife, as well as his collection of Tiki artwork and mugs.
Lori Bettencourt
Head of IT and Client Service Administration
Lori has been part of the FAL team for 10 years but has worked in business administration for over 40 years. She services our clients with the online portal, as well as handling all the firm’s IT needs.
Lori is driven by learning, which ultimately led her back to university where she received a BS in business with an emphasis in information systems. She is an active member of P.E.O Chapter G. Lori has been married 45 years to her wonderful husband, Frank and has a son and three dogs.
Sean Crandell, CPA
Manager
Sean’s diverse background spans local boutique to large regional firms. He’s particularly skilled at scaling the client spectrum of needs and can advise from a big picture perspective and drill down into the details to offer certainty and confidence in the numbers. He enjoys the variety of industries and fast-paced learning offered in the public accounting setting.
Sean is a committed traveler and seeks out new experiences and destinations every year. He is also a musician and plays the guitar.
Alexis Custer
Supervisor
Coming to us from BYU-Idaho where she received her Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Alexis brings an infectious joy to our office. She enjoys a good puzzle, which is what attracted her to the accounting profession. Her analytical and strategic mind leads her to the important questions for our clients and allows her to see the big picture.
Alexis grew up in Buckley, Washington and recently relocated to Las Vegas for career growth and opportunities. In her free time, you can find Alexis on a stroll, enjoying a good book, or working on her latest arts and crafts project.
Nicholas Espinoza
Manager
As a Manager, Nick works hard to understand and build relationships with clients in order to find opportunities that can help them save money and become more efficient in their processes.
It is important to him that clients and colleagues see his hard work and care. He is an Eagle Scout that enjoys traveling and playing poker.
Patrick Harrington
Supervisor
Coming to us from Boston, Patrick is happy to be in warm weather. He is a graduate from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and enjoys the challenges that each new return presents and the opportunities to learn from them.
Patrick has played as a solo cellist in Benavente, Spain and in multiple local and regional orchestras. He is passionate about helping others and burritos! An avid outdoorsman, Patrick can be found hiking and exploring his new hometown.
Khrystyna Karpyn, CPA
Manager
With more than eight years of finance and accounting experience, Khrystyna values learning and technical excellence. She enjoys helping clients understand financial data and how it can assist them in critical business decisions.
At FAL, Khrystyna works in both the audit and tax sides of the practice. In her free time, Khrystyna can be found hiking and traveling.
Maria Khavkin, CPA
Manager
Maria has 20 plus years of experience in public accounting. She likes the customized and complex problem solving that comes with the industry, as well as the opportunity to build strategies that result in the best possible outcomes for her clients. She graduated from the accounting program at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Maria has two beautiful children, a wonderful husband and enjoys hiking, biking, skiing and scuba diving.
Ciara Ladanyi
HR & Operations Administrator
Coming from the world of construction accounting, Ciara has over six years of facing problems head on and finding detailed solutions to a multitude of obstacles. She appreciates that every day is different and that there is always something new to learn.
Ciara is passionate about helping others and is a proud supporter of The Herren project. On any given day you can find her at Target, watching Criminal Minds, and supporting her title of biggest Raider’s fan ever!
Jeffrey comes from the hotel industry and transitioned to AR accounting after receiving his Bachelors in 2019. He finds every aspect of this industry exciting and enjoys helping clients and fellow employees solve problems. Jeffrey grew up in the DC-metro area and spent the last 9 years in Los Angeles.
He is a diehard Seattle sports fan, and his family is the center of his universe.

Office Administrator
Jonelle has worked in customer service for 30 plus years. After successfully operating her own business in the F&B sector, Jonelle brings her hospitality mindset to FAL through her interactions with clients at the front desk, and supporting our operations team.
Jonelle has two precious daughters who light-up her life. She is involved with the Children’s Heart Foundation and supports them whenever possible.
Megha Singhala
A/R Accountant
Megha brings her 8+ years of experience to FAL on our billing and collections team. She was born and raised in India, is fluent in 3 languages, and earned her Master’s Degree in Accounting from Delhi University. She takes great pride being a devoted mother and considers her family to be her greatest accomplishment. Megha is a friendly, positive, and approachable person who looks forward to each day!

Matt Singleton
Accountant
A graduate of the University of Maryland, Matt majored in history and accounting. He has 7 plus years of industry experience and enjoys the variety and new challenges offered in the world of public accounting. Matt is an Army Veteran and received the Creighton Abrams Leadership Award for his contributions to the advancement of the US Army.
Matt grew up in upstate Illinois, and in his free time you’ll find him camping, enjoying a good book, or hiking with his family.
Cheree Toombs
Accountant
As an accountant with 14 years' experience, Cheree brings a wealth of knowledge to our firm. Originally from Las Vegas, she graduated from UNLV with a double major in Accounting and Finance. She enjoys helping our customers with unique tax issues and solving complex problems.
In addition to volunteering at her church, food banks, and woman's shelters, Cheree is very passionate about her family, especially her teenage son.
Marie Vitello - Brown
Operations Resource Administrator
Within her 40+ years of experience in office administration, Marie has brought an important view of operations to the firm. She processes new client information, inputs budget data and coordinates the timely distribution of tax returns to clients.
She is always a team player and is instrumental in helping clients meet required tax deadlines. She is passionate about life and our Vegas Golden Knights!
